I’ve thought about themes and will do my very best to convert from the old system to the new using an automated script at the point of switchover. It’ll be a bit clunky, in the sense that the new elements probably won’t completely visually fit straight away, but you won’t lose any functionality and you’ll continue to be able to customise the site as you see fit.
