Proposal: EduFilter

Here’s something I’ve been thinking about for a while, that I’d like to throw out to the wider community. There doesn’t seem to be one place for us all to read about new announcements in the e-learning space or discuss the implications of wider announcements and news stories.

So what I was thinking is this: how about a community blog, loosely based on the MetaFilter software and principles (e.g. no self-linking), that seeks solely to uncover new developments in the e-learning world and discuss their relative merits? I’d be more than happy to set this up if people would be interested in contributing and reading it. It’d be nice to have a source for this kind of thing, and I think this kind of impartial space could be benefitial for everyone in the field, be they consumers, vendors, consultants, etc.

(And no, it doesn’t have to be called EduFilter.)
