Podzinger lets you search through podcasts, using speech recognition technology of the type used by the CIA. In other words, it creates text transcripts from podcasts and then lets you search them – a feature that has all kinds of uses beyond search. I’m consistently surprised, for example, that nobody utilises this kind of thing for subtitling news broadcasts. (Generally hand-written subtitles on live TV are never fast or accurate enough.)
